Hello everybody!

Wikimedia Estonia is organising a conference on tools for creating open digital ecosystems in the beginning of November, branding it under academic umbrella of digital humanities:

* http://dh.org.ee/category/events/dhe2017/ ("Open licences, open content, open data: tools for developing digital humanities")

"Wiki platforms" is an official conference topic among others and conference itself takes place from Nov 1 to Nov 3 in Tartu, Estonia. We are still open for proposals for presentations and workshops.

*Submit your abstract of 200-250 words to conference at dh.org.ee before Sep 30th and we will let you know about the outcome on Oct 6th.*

Conference fee is 19 euros, however, we have places for free accommodation at the hotel for first 100 participants, so it's a good offer despite it's not free.

If you don't want to submit a presentation, you are still very welcome to participate and meet fellow Wiki enthusiasts and all flavours of digital/open topics activists and researchers from Estonia, neighboring countries (and the world). Nov 3rd is workshops day of the conference which also the students from different PhD programs of Tartu University will participate for their graduate school, so this will be very lively, however not obligatory to participate for everybody.

Why is this conference special? If you have ever wondered how is the self-titled digital pioneer Estonia actually doing from Wiki, openGLAM, open data, digital rights, copyright and similar perspectives, this is definitely the place to be!

Feel free to forward this message to anybody you think might be interested.
