(I have also posted this on village pumps, in the local language, thanks to
volunteer translations.)

Dear communities,

We want to know how we can help you. So we'd like you to please take this
survey.

Now, in more detail:

==What we ask==

Wikimedia contributors’ answers to this survey will give us the information
about the capacities (or lack of them) across the communities and
affiliates in the Central and Eastern European region. We are going to ask
you to rate your community’s and (separately, if relevant) your affiliate’s
capacities.

==Why we ask==
There is a short-term and a longer-term goals to this survey. The
short-term goal is to provide the most useful sessions for capacity
building at the upcoming CEE Meeting in Lviv (mid-October 2018). The
longer-term goal is to provide input to WMF in designing additional
activities under the umbrella of the CCD initiative. Meaningful input from
your community would increase the chances that training and support
relevant to your community would be offered, and would help build the
long-term capacities of your community.

==What you can answer==
If there was a discussion on the topic in your community, you can express
its result. (Never had a discussion? It can be started.) Or you can share
only your personal opinion. Both are welcome; you can even fill in the
survey more than once.

==When do we need answers==
By September 1st would be an awesome deadline.

==What next==
This is not the end of reaching out to you. People who took the survey can
expect to be offered an interview later. We want to understand your
community.

Please fill this survey:

(This survey is hosted by Qualtrics and is governed by their Privacy Policy
and Terms of Service.)

Many thanks from WMCEEM2018 organising team and from me, the CCD program
officer.
