[WMCEE-l] Invitation to join the committee to select the host of CEE Meeting 2018

Hello dear members of the Wikimedia CEE community!

Following the discussion during the CEE meetup at the Wikimedia Conference
( https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Conference_2017/CEE_Meeting )
about selecting the host for the Wikimedia CEE Meeting in 2018, the
attendees decided to set up a bidding process in order to select next
year's host.

The first step in this process will be the forming of the bids committee
and this email is the formal invitation to join this committee! :-)

Ideally, members of the committee should have experience in organising
events similar or identical to previous CEE meetings and be able to commit
about 10-20 hours in the next three months to this process, depending on
how many bids are submitted.

Of course, this committee will only become active if more than one bid is
submitted and will select the host before the CEE Meeting 2017 in Warsaw in
order to enable the future hosts to learn from this year's organisers :-)

If you are interested in joining the committee, please email me at (
philip.kopetzky at wikimedia.at) by April 30th. We will then set up a timeline
and begin the process of collecting bids.
