Dear Mykola and colleagues from BG and CEE,

I was a bit disappointed with the shyness of our community members, none of
whom raised a hand willing to take part in the Kiyv meetup and this kind
invitation.

Initially, I was also hesitant, as I have lectures and million other
committments by the end of the year, but I acknowledge it important to
exchange good practices with other CEE wikimedians.

We in Bulgaria, in the last days got approval for user group

(and we accept your hearty congratulations :)) and this makes it even more
important to learn from your organizational experience.

For this reason, I reconsidered my initial decision, and I took part in the
voting for the date of the meetup. I opted for the days 12-14 or 19-21
December (since 5-7 Dec. is way too early for me to rearrange my lectures),
and I'd like to express my willingness to visit the Kiyv meetup. However,
this I can do only in case that I get support for the travel expenses.

Tomorrow I will provide (my, POV :)))) ) answer to the questionnaire for
the strengths and needs, but I'd like to immediately tell that I'll be
specifically interested (i.e. will *need*) to see English translations of
the statutes of the Wikimedia chapters (juridical organizations) in the
region and discuss with the colleagues who have been through the process of
writing a statute what are the good practices we can adopt directly.
Because there is need to reinvent the wheel :)))) As long as the strengths
are concerned, I can share experience in our university wiki projects, if
this is considered interesting for the rest of the audience.

Best regards,

Vassia / Spiritia
