[WMCEE-l] Meetup in London

Hello people,

I tried to present my idea about the Facebook cross-CEE coordination group
directly in the Wikimania 2014 page for our meetup.

I started a list of CEE countries for everyone to add the non-wiki
promotion channels you might be using. Please, add your country, if I have
missed it by mistake.

I myself added information about the two main channels which we use in
Bulglaria -- a public FB page and a public FB group, as well as our
Bulgarian private coordination page. This coordination page proved to
function very well in the last 6 months: we are scheduling some 5-7 posts
every day in the FB page, and discuss preliminary interesting topics of
discussion in the FB page.

Both public channels are announced in the Village pump and endorsed by the
community. Their admins are (so far) 13 people, who are Wikipedian admins
or active users. and -- of course -- active users of Facebook. There used
to be ideas to maintain a Google+ channel and Twitter, but both now are
desolate, I think. This kind of private coordination group seems to work
quite well for us, and was the initial motivation for me to propose such a
direction of possible future collaboration. Of course, this is just an
option for the people who are interested to maintain such channels, buti t
comes from my awareness that we need to build support and confidence in
Wikipedia in the readers or simply internet users who are not editors.
