[WMCEE-l] CEE Meeting 2012

As much or as little as I personally can represent WMEE, I can say
that we are definitely interested in CEE conference.

Yes, all kinds of cooperation can be organized without a conference. I
have a couple of ideas that I would be glad to discuss someday. But
any cooperation will go on much better if people meet in flesh time to
time. It helps to keep in mind that there are actual human beings on
the other side of the Internet. Indeed, one of the main problems of
Wikipedia discussions is we tend to forget that. Human species is
built that way, we have much less misunderstanding when talking face
to face.

That said, unfortunately, WMEE is too small and young (and too far
from potential locations) to help organizing this particular
conference. We're already trying to arrange a local visionary
conference (including possibly Jimbo, Estonian president, top-level IT
companies, etc) that would establish our strong presence in society
and media. It's kind of a kick-start for the chapter, and it takes
most of our energy right now. Sorry. Maybe we could host CEE a year or
two later.
